PLASTON-P has been a manufacturer of pipes and fittings made of synthetic resins reinforced with fiberglass (composites – GRP - Glass Reinforced Plastics) since 1996. The main recipients of the products are hard coal and non-ferrous ore mines. The employment of highly qualified specialists at the company and cooperation with accredited research laboratories guarantee high quality products and technical development.

All products have: - Safety certificates for use in underground mining excavations, issued by the Certification Body of the Central Mining Institute in Katowice;
- Technical Approval of the Oil and Gas Institute in Krakow, Certificates and approvals for use in mines, valid in the Czech Republic;
- Certificates and approvals for use in mines in Ukraine.

Pipes and fittings made of polyester-glass laminates (GRP) - for transporting liquids, suspensions and gases, including methane PLASTON-P manufactures laminate pipes and fittings in a range of nominal diameters: 110-600 mm. The standard and maximum length of pipes is 6m.

For fittings, pressure values are one row lower than for pipes, and the maximum working pressure values do not exceed 2 MPa.

Laminate pipes and fittings with internal linings (GRP / PVC) - for transporting liquids and suspensions

Laminate pipes and fittings with internal linings are manufactured on the basis of laminated pipes and fittings whose internal surface consists of:
• inserts made of thermoplastics: PVC (pipes’ marking: GRP / PVC)
• wear-resistant linings

The basic laminate tubes are made in a slow-burning and antistatic version with a self-extinguishing and heating time of 5 sec, surface resistance of 106 Ω. Because the internal lining has a surface resistance of 10 6 Ω, pipes stored before assembly at the bottom of mines should have their openings blinded with covers supplied by the manufacturer. The covers are made of a PVC fabric with a safety certificate. Thanks to this, pipes can be used in rooms and underground excavations of mining plants with methane explosion hazard of a, b, c degree, for the transport of non-flammable liquids and suspensions.

Plastic laminate pipes and fittings - pre-insulated (GRP / PVC / PU / GRP and GRP / PU / GRP) - for transporting liquids and gases including methane

Pre-insulated laminate pipes are included in a new attractive offer of PLASTON-P. They consist of wire pipes presented earlier, which are manufactured from:
• glass fiber reinforced plastics (GRP),
• glass fiber reinforced plastics (GRP) with an internal lining made of thermoplastic - GRP/PVC,
• and an insulating layer made of rigid polyurethane foam (PU) and an outer layer - laminate sheath (GRP), made of thermoplastics: PVC or steel sheet.

These products are intended mainly for use at the bottom of mines, where the transported medium must be kept at a constant temperature. The pipes produced range from 100 to 400 mm and concerns the internal diameter of the basic (wire) pipes. Pre-insulated pipes and fittings have flanged connections with loose steel rings. The pipes are made in a flame-retardant version. The external surfaces have antistatic properties with a surface resistance of 106 Ω. In the case of pipes used to transport gases, the constituent layers of the pipe, with the exception of the insulating layer, have a surface and volume resistance of 106 Ω; the pipeline's antistatic grounding should be connected with steel bolts or flanges. An example of a construction solution for pre-insulated pipes and characteristic dimensions is shown in the figure below. The advantage of this solution is simple construction and ease of assembly due to the elimination of the connector insulation; at the same time, the pipe does not lose its insulating properties as a whole. The pipe has very good insulating properties along its entire length and the connector itself is insulated with a thick layer of laminate.
